instantphoto.eu        Filter holders for Cokin A filters and Spectra/Image filters on the SX70

As 3D printing progresses, there are more solutions for filter holders on SX70 cameras. Here are two holders, based on the same pattern:

A Cokin filter hoder on the camera and a Spectra filter holder next to it. My camera is a modified one for the use of 600 film.

The holders can be easily installed in front of the camera, they slide on it and click into place.

What attracted me most, is a filter holder for the widely available Cokin A filters. It passes the filter in front of the lens AND in front of the photo cell. So the filter value is taken into account automatically. No calculating or guessing necessary. It uses unmodified Cokin filters.

This is what it looks like:

The holder with a Cokin filter.

You can print it yourself or use a 3D printing service. And of course you can choose the colour of your holder. The printing file is here, the link opens in a new window. The file comes from the member of a french polaroid forum, www.polaroid-passion.com.

There are two sets of creative and /or effect filters for Polaroid Spectra/Image cameras and nothing like this for SX cameras. It would therefore be desirable if these filters could be used in some way on SXs. So there is a Spectra version as well. It's here:

My SX670, the adapter and a filter from the creative filter set.

The filter has a part that passes in front of the photo cell.

It also takes filters from the special effects filter set.

The special effects filters are clear. So no need for a part in front of the photo cell.

As with the other holder,
you can print it yourself or use a 3D printing service. The printing file is here, the link opens in a new window.

Both holders are very handy. A nice find and easy to handle.
