As Polaroid film cassettes each have a battery, there is half of a battery charge left, when all photos have been taken. So they invented a gadget to use them, a Polaroid Radio. It's a simple AM/FM radio. This is what it looks like:

You can put a Polaroid photo to decorate or a nice dark slide.

The radio is designed around the cassette.

There was even an accessory for the accessory: a battery holder, size of a cassette, if you are short of empty Polaroid cassettes. It takes 4 AA batteries.
